COLONEL SEAN D. NAVIN

Colonel Sean D. Navin is the commander of the 163d Attack Wing, California Air National Guard, March Air Reserve Base, Calif. The 163d Attack Wing is comprised of more than 900 personnel. The wing is the California Air National Guard's exclusive MQ-9A Reaper operations unit providing intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance support, as well as tactical combat support, to commanders and war fighters around the world.

Prior to his current position Col Navin held multiple positions within the 144th Fighter Wing to include, 144th Vice Wing Commander, 194th Fighter Squadron Commander, Operations Support Commander, Director of Operations, 144 FW Alert Commander and Chief of Safety. Col Navin has several stat tours to include, 1st Air Force as the Fighter Officer, Liaison between NGB and the Drug Air Interdiction Coordination Center (DAICC) and the Air National Guard Readiness Center (ANGRC) as the Liaison to the Department of Interior. Col Navin recently completed a senior leadership course National Preparedness Leadership Initiative (NPLI) at Harvard. He is currently enrolled in Advanced Joint Professional Military Education (AJPME). He is a command pilot with more than 2300 flying hours; operations include OPERATION NOBLE EAGLE, SOUTHERN WATCH, and CORONET NIGHTHAWK.
