Family members of U.S. Air Force Maj. Joseph Sheldon Long, Jr., are photographed at the POW/MIA table with California Air National Guard's 163d Attack Wing leadership including Command Chief Master Sgt. Paul Witt, left, and commander Col. Sean Navin, right, during the wing's Outstanding Airmen of the Year awards ceremony, Nov. 2, 2019, at March Air Reserve Base, California. Long went missing on a night mission over Korea during a combat deployment in 1952 and is the wing's only POW/MIA; his flight jacket was displayed on the table throughout the night. At center is Long's widow, Connie Long, left of center is daughter Linda Adams and right of center is Long's other daughter, Celia Vanderpool. Long has a third child, a son, who was unable to attend the event. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Tech Sgt. Julianne Showalter)
