U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Timothy Crowder, 163d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, California Air National Guard, Staff Sgt. Talia Estwick, 119th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, South Dakota Air National Guard, and Staff Sgt. Arthur Bennett, 174th Maintenance Group, New York Air National Guard, celebrate after winning the annual Grizzly Gauntlet, March Air Reserve Base, Calif., July 30, 2026. The Grizzly Gauntlet is a week-long competition specific to the Air National Guard that tests various weapons loading skills on the MQ-9 Reaper platform, including speed, proficiency, safety, and teamwork. The blended team tested joint force integration and identified variances in unit skills and training to subsequently make necessary changes to unit training and employment.
