The 163d Attack Wing is a tenant unit at March Air Reserve Base, Moreno Valley, California. The 163d Attack Wing is comprised of the following Groups.

Headquarters

The 163d Attack Wing Headquarters is comprised of the Command Section, Chaplain, Financial Management, Judge Advocate, Public Affairs, Military Equal Opportunity, Human Resource Advisor, Wing Inspector General, Wing Safety and Wing Plans. Each unique section provides products and services for the benefit of the entire Wing to ensure the mission is being accomplished in an effective and efficient manner.

Maintenance Group

163d Maintenance Group logoThe primary mission of the 163d Maintenance Group is to provide 24/7 aircraft maintenance support of reconnaissance and flight training operations.


Medical Group

The 163d Medical Group's primary mission is to provide bio environmental, public health, and medical support to monitor the health and wellness of the members of the 163d Attack Wing. Ensuring our members are fit-to-fight makes our wing a valuable and viable asset to the California Air National Guard which integrates seamlessly with Expeditionary and Joint Forces.

Mission Support Group

The 163d Mission Support Group is the main support function for over 900 military personnel. The Mission Support Group consists of Security Forces Squadron, Civil Engineering Squadron, Logistics Readiness Squadron, Communications Flight, Mission Support Flight, Services Flight and the Base Contracting Office.

 

Operations Group

The 163d Operations Group consists of the 160th Attack Squadron, 163d Operational Support Squadron, 196th Attack Squadron, and the 492d Attack Squadron Reverse Associate Unit. Our primary mission is to organize, train, and equip Mission Ready Airmen to project MQ-9 Reaper capabilities to combatant commanders and civil authorities. Driving towards our vision: Ready today - Postured for tomorrow - Adaptable to the future fight—ensures we provide ready, reliable, and relevant forces whenever and wherever they are needed.
